Conspiracy under the guise of love? Marriages between Pakistan and India have become a gateway to infiltration (Social media)

Relations between India and Pakistan have never been smooth. Pakistan's policy of sheltering terrorists has poisoned this relationship. The recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has given new heights to tensions. After this, the Indian government has taken a big step and issued a 'Leave India' notice to Pakistani citizens. That is, all Pakistani citizens living in India will have to leave the country within this time.

Threat to India's security?

Marriages between India and Pakistan are not new. After partition, such relationships remained common in border areas like Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Kashmir. According to a report, about 200 cross-border marriages take place every year in Jaisalmer and Barmer. Earlier these relationships were a social compulsion, now the question arises whether they are becoming a threat to security?

Marriage has become a new way of infiltration

After the Pahalgam attack, the investigating agencies got some shocking information. Many Pakistani citizens come to India on visa, get married and then settle here. In some cases, Indian women went to Pakistan and got married, but maintained their Indian citizenship. There are many claims on social media that these women can be used for smuggling and terrorist activities. Even though these claims have not been fully proven, they have definitely increased the concern.

Government's strictness and alert

The Home Ministry has ordered all states to identify Pakistani nationals and immediately deport those on short-term visas. So far, 28 Pakistani nationals have been deported in Rajasthan, while 107 Pakistani nationals have been reported "missing" in Maharashtra. This is a serious matter, as many of these may be part of sleeper cells.

sleeper cell strategy

According to some reports, Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI is preparing sleeper cells through these marriages. These people live like ordinary citizens, but can carry out espionage, smuggling or terrorist attacks when the time comes. Relationships born out of the pain of Partition are still becoming a headache for India's security.
